Sunshine Cove

Sunshine Coast

2025

Located on a tightly constrained waterfront block in Sunshine Cove, this custom concrete pool project is a strong example of considered design paired with technical execution.

The client’s brief was to create a seamless indoor–outdoor connection that enhanced the home and made the most of the available space, without compromising on quality or finish. With minimal room to work with and a large retaining wall running along the boundary, the design and construction approach needed to be carefully planned from the outset.

The result is a 14-lineal-metre custom concrete pool, purpose-designed to suit the proportions of the block and integrate effortlessly with the surrounding architecture. Clean lines and a modern layout ensure the pool feels balanced within the space, while still delivering a strong visual impact.

A 40mm drop-face Rocky Mountain tile in a soft beige was selected for the coping and surrounds, adding warmth and a refined, contemporary finish. Internally, pearl white mosaic waterline tiles provide a crisp, elegant transition, while the salt-and-pepper pebblecrete delivers a timeless look and a beautiful, natural water colour.

One of the defining challenges of this project was site access — or the lack thereof. With no traditional machinery access available, the digger was craned into position, and excavated material was removed using conveyor belts. This required precise coordination and problem-solving across the build, but ultimately allowed us to deliver a high-quality outcome in an exceptionally tight space.

What we’re most proud of is overcoming the access constraints to deliver this project on time, without compromise. The finished pool is a testament to thoughtful design, careful planning, and attention to detail — and most importantly, a result our clients are absolutely thrilled with.
