Manly West

This Manly West project was designed to create a calm, functional outdoor space that blends seamlessly with its suburban setting while embracing a distinctly Australian native aesthetic.

At the heart of the design sits a custom 6m x 3.5m concrete swimming pool, carefully shaped to soften the space and encourage flow throughout the backyard. Finished with travertine-style porcelain coping and surrounds, a penny-style waterline tile with highlighted steps, and Fiji pebblecrete, the pool offers both durability and timeless appeal.

Beyond the pool, the project extends into a thoughtfully curated outdoor environment featuring Corten steel edging and accents, a custom formed fire pit area finished with natural stone crazy paving, Knottwood aluminium batten fencing, organic stepping stones, a greenhouse, and layered native landscaping. Each element was selected to enhance texture, warmth, and connection to the outdoors.

The result is a cohesive backyard retreat — a space that feels private, grounded and beautifully finished, while remaining practical for everyday living.
